On 23 and 24 April 2024 ESM took part in the 4th Aerospace Meetings Tunisia at Gammarth, the business convention of the Tunisian aerospace supply chain, organised by Advanced Business Events with FIPA-Tunisia and GITAS. Our Chief Executive Officer, Mohamed Wali, our Chief Operating Officer, Hamdi Koubaa, and our sales team spent two days in pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings.

Who we met
- Prime contractors and tier-one suppliers. Meetings with the purchasing and engineering teams of engine, aerostructure and equipment manufacturers. One of them led to a request for information, returned the next day together with a signed non-disclosure agreement.
- The suppliers who equip our shop. Cutting tools, coolants, metals and metrology. The metrology discussion continued at our plant in June 2024, with a presentation of coordinate measuring machines.
- Skills. Exchanges with the Tunisian vocational training agency on the profiles our industry needs, a subject we have since taken further with training centres.
Why it matters
Being visible at home, among the prime contractors and tier-one suppliers that operate in Tunisia, is the first step of many partnerships, in an industry that creates more than 1,500 jobs every year in Tunisia.
