Capabilities
Machining capabilities
Milling from three to five axes, vertical and horizontal, from a single first article to established series — with fitting, inspection and documentation inside the same flow.
5-axis simultaneous machining
Eight 5-axis centres handle complex geometries, compound angles and deep pockets in a reduced number of setups — fewer setups meaning fewer datum transfers and tighter positional control.
8 centres up to 1 335 × 1 250 × 900 mm
4-axis horizontal machining
Three horizontal centres with automatic pallet changers give four-face access in one clamping and allow load-while-cutting operation — the right configuration for repeatable series work.

3-axis machining
Four 3-axis verticals cover prismatic parts, plate work, brackets and secondary operations, including a 1 100 mm X travel for long components.
4 centres up to 1 100 mm X
Large-envelope components
Our largest 5-axis centre takes 1 335 × 1 250 × 900 mm of travel, opening the door to frames, ribs, fittings and machined plate components that do not fit a standard vertical.

Prototypes and first articles
New part introduction is handled by a dedicated NPI function: process definition, fixture design, programming, simulation, first-off and the FAI file — built once, properly, and reused at series launch.
Small, medium and large series
Load and capacity are planned machine by machine in our ERP over a rolling horizon of more than twelve months, which is what makes a ramp-up commitment credible rather than optimistic.
Fitting and finishing
Manual deburring, edge break, blending and visual finishing are performed in-house on every aerospace part, by authorised fitters working to documented acceptance criteria.

Managed special processes
Anodising, chromate conversion, passivation, electroplating, painting and heat treatment are placed with qualified partners under our supplier control procedure, with re-inspection on return.

Mechanical assembly
Riveting and blind riveting, Hi-Lok and Hi-Lite fastener installation, helicoil inserts, plastic bushings, seals and hook-and-loop fastening. Sub-assemblies are built and documented inside the same quality system as the machining.
Industrial capacity
Capacity is a number, not an adjective.
We publish the arithmetic behind our capacity so that a commodity manager can test it: fifteen CNC centres, three shifts with a weekend team, and a monthly machining capacity that is planned machine by machine in our ERP.
Fitting and inspection capacity are planned separately from machine capacity, because a machining hour that cannot be deburred and inspected is not a deliverable hour.
Capacity model per the 2026–2027 load and capacity plan. Effective availability depends on part mix, setup content and special-process lead times.
Scope and honesty
What we do not do
ESM is a build-to-print manufacturer. We do not design parts, we do not own the definition and we do not hold a design organisation approval. What we do bring is manufacturability feedback: if a feature is going to cost you money or yield, we will say so at the quotation stage.
- No CNC turning. Only conventional turning for secondary operations.
- No in-house surface treatment or heat treatment. These are placed with qualified partners.
- No non-destructive testing in-house. Routed externally when required.
- Aluminium is our core material domain, with stainless steel and hard metals also machined. Titanium and nickel alloys are not a standing capability.
