On 5 November 2025 five new DMG MORI five-axis machining centres arrived at ESM in Ben Arous: four DMU 95 monoBLOCK with three-pallet changers (950 × 850 × 650 mm of travel) and one DMU 125 monoBLOCK with 1,335 × 1,250 × 900 mm of travel and a 24,000 rpm spindle, the largest envelope on site. To our knowledge, they are the first DMU monoBLOCK machines installed in Africa.
With these machines the park counts fifteen CNC machining centres, eight of them five-axis, every one purchased new. All carry through-spindle high-pressure coolant and Renishaw or Heidenhain part and tool probing.
The additional capacity is loaded into the ERP capacity model, which plans load machine by machine over a rolling horizon of more than twelve months. Published machining capacity stands at 7,950 hours a month over three shifts plus a weekend team.
