Aerospace fitter — deburring, finishing and assembly
You finish machined aluminium aerospace parts by hand and assemble sub-assemblies: deburring, edge finishing, fitting, riveting and installation of fasteners, with every operation signed and recorded.
What you will do
- Deburr and break edges to the drawing and the applicable specifications, without damaging functional surfaces.
- Carry out finishing work: blending of tool marks, touch-up of surface finish and cleaning.
- Drill, ream, countersink and tap when the routing calls for it, using jigs and hand or pneumatic tools.
- Assemble sub-assemblies: riveting, installation of Hi-Lok and Hi-Lite fasteners and fitting of components.
- Self-inspect your work (visual and dimensional), sign the operation on the route card and report any non-conformity.
- Protect the parts during handling and storage, and keep 5S and FOD discipline at the bench.
What we look for
- CAP, BTP or BTS in general mechanics, mechanical manufacturing, aeronautical construction or equivalent.
- One to two years of experience in fitting, deburring or finishing of machined parts; aerospace experience is an asset. Skilled beginners are considered.
- Reading of technical drawings and use of standard measuring instruments.
- Skilled with hand and pneumatic tools: files, scrapers, abrasives, drills and riveting tools.
- Dexterity, patience and care: a scratch or a knock on a finished part can scrap it.
- Rigour, and acceptance that your work is checked, signed and recorded. Availability for shift work.
What ESM offers
- Structured training ending in a written, named fitting authorisation.
- Varied work on aerostructure and aircraft equipment parts, from deburring to the assembly of sub-assemblies.
- A versatility matrix that opens further workstations, in a company where positions are often filled from inside.
Apply with your CV, in French or English. Every application is read by human resources and by the production manager.
